We have over 71 courses approved for instruction in PA
for insurance producers including Continuing Education
and pre-licensing instruction for property/casualty and
life/accident/health. In addition, a PHILLIPS ASSOCIATES
course, SPARKS, is approved for CE credits in Maryland
and Delaware as are a number of courses developed for
the Independent Insurance agents of Maryland (IIAM).
We welcome your thoughtful evaluations as well as
suggestions on other courses that would be helpful to
you. Please feel free to contact
us.
Compliance Notes:
PA insurance producers are
required to take 24 hours of Continuing Education every
licensing cycle of two years. Please note:
 |
PA Insurance Department requires eight hours of initial training
for those seeking to sell long-term care insurance and a specified one-credit requirement for
a person wishing to sell Long-Term Care Partnership insurance. (Phillips Associates offers these.) |
 |
You
must supply your license number in order for courses
to be submitted to the state. |
 |
There
is no legal requirement that you take certain
courses depending on what type of insurance you sell
like some other states have done. There is a
requirement by 2004 federal law that a producer
wishing to sell Flood Insurance under the auspices
of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) must
complete flood insurance training. |
 |
No
double-dipping in that a producer may not
receive credits twice for the same course in
the same licensing cycle. |
